PJTSAU Courses Offered:

Eligibility:
For admission into M.Sc. level courses, candidates of TS. who possessing Bachelor Degrees in the concerned fields accredited by ICAR only are eligible. Candidates from other states should seek admission into M.Sc. and Ph.D. courses through the all India Examination conducted by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), New Delhi.

Admission to Ph.D. Courses
Major Fields:
Faculty of Agriculture :
Agronomy, Agricultural Economics, Entomology, Agril. Extension, Genetics & Plant Breeding, Plant Pathology, Crop Physiology, Soil Science, Microbiology, Molecular Biology & Biotechnology.

Faculty of Home Science (for women only):
Foods & Nutrition, Human Development & Family Studies, Family Resource Management Textile & Apparel Designing and Home Science Extension and Communication Management.

Faculty of Agricultural Engineering & Technology:
Soil & Water Engineering, Processing & Food Engineering and Farm Machinery & Power.

Qualifications:
1.Master of Science or an equivalent examination in Agriculture or Home Science, with 50% marks in the aggregate under traditional system of examination or an OGPA of 3.25 or above in 4.00 point scale or OGPA of 7.50 or above in 10.00 point scale in grade point system. SC/ST candidates with a pass in traditional system or OGPA of 7.00/10.00 or 3.00/4.00 are eligible.
2. The Basic Degree i.e., B.Sc.(Ag.)/ B.Sc.(Home Science)/ B.H.Sc.(Rural) / B.Tech. (Ag. Engg. & Tech.) of 4 years duration from ANGR Agricultural University / PJTSAU or an institution accredited by ICAR / approved by ANGRAU / PJTSAU is essential.
4. Students who passed M.Sc.(Ag.) in Seed Science and Technology are eligible for Ph.D. courses in any of the subjects/major fields.


Criteria for Selection:  The weightage of marks will be as follows:
Entrance Test: 50 %,  M.Sc. level: 30 %, B.Sc. level : 10 % , Interview: 10 %, Total:100%

M.Tech (Agril. Engineering)
 Soil & Water Engineering, Processing & Food Engineering, Farm Machinery & Power		 B. Tech (Ag. Engg.) of 4 years duration

B. Tech Food Technology Graduates of 4 years are eligible for M. Tech Processing & Food Engineering
The candidates must have secured minimum OGPA of 5.50 / 10.00    (SC/ ST- 5.00/10.00) or 2.50 / 4.00 (SC / ST-2.00 / 4.00) or 50% marks in traditional system (SC / ST- 40%) 

Age: The upper age limit is 40 years as on 1st July of the year of admission. 
Reservation: Reservation for S.C.,S.T., and B.C. candidates: 15%, 6% and 29% of the seats in each course of     study in each faculty shall be  reserved for the candidates belonging to SCs, STs and BCs respectively. 3% seats in each course are reserved for physically disabled candidates 
NRI / Industry Quota : 
1. In M.B.A. (Agri. Business Management) course 10% are reserved for NRIs / Industry Sponsored Candidates.   5% of the seats shall be provided to NRIs / and 5% to Industry sponsored candidates over and above the seats indicated in the annexure.  If candidates of one category are not available they shall be allotted to the other category.  
2.NRIs should have studied relevant bachelor degree program prescribed against the course aborad.   
3.For Industry Quota the candidates should possess the qualifications prescribed above and also two years relevant experience in Agri. Business Sector.  They should be sponsored by the Industry  / Organization.  The candidates under NRI / Industry quota need not appear for entrance test. They shall be selected based on merit.
