Telangana 17 New Districts Formation Citizens can file Suggestions/Objections at Telangana New Districts Portal Newdistrictsformation.telangana.gov.in. Citizens can file their Suggestions/ Objections at Telangana New Districts Portal . People will be given 30 days time to give their suggestions or lodge objections on the draft proposals: Citizens can file their Suggestions/Objections online on New Districts Formation in the State of Telangana. The Telangana government on Monday issued preliminary notification for creation of 17 new districts in the State. The State government will also create 15 new revenue divisions and 46 new mandals. It has invited suggestions and objections from people in 30 days time. Separate cells would be opened at all district collectorates to receive complaints from the people.

The proposed New districts are:
1. Acharya Jayashankar,
2. Jagtial, 
3. Kamareddy,
4. Komaram Bheem,
5. Kothagudem,
6. Mahabubabad,
7. Malkajgiri,
8. Nagarkurnool,
9. Nirmal,
10. Peddapally,
11. Sangareddy,
12. Shamshabad,
13. Siddipet,
14. Suryapet,
15. Wanaparthy,
16. Hanamkonda and
17. Yadadri.

ABOUT TELANGANA DISTRICTS REORGANISATION
Government of Telangana has taken up the task of Districts reorganization of the existing districts excluding Hyderabad, for better administration and development of the areas comprised therein and for matters connected therewith as per the Telangana Districts Formation Act, 1974 and Telangana District Formation Rules, 2016 Under Section 3 of the said Act the Government may by notification from time to time, for the purposes of Revenue administration, divide the state in such districts, divisions and Mandals and each district shall consist of such Revenue divisions and each Revenue Division shall consist of such Mandals and each Mandal shall consist of such villages and the Government may by notification from time to time specify in this behalf.

Further as per Sec 3(2) 
a. of the Act, The Government may form a new district, revenue division (or Mandal) or by uniting two or more districts, revenue divisions, (or Mandals) or part thereof or by uniting any area to a district, revenue division, (or Mandal) or part thereof:
b. Increase the area of any district, revenue division (or Mandal);
c. Diminish the area of any district, revenue division (or Mandal);
d. Alter the boundaries of any district, revenue division, (or Mandal);
e. Alter the name of any district, revenue division, (or Mandal);

As per the Rule 3 of the said rules here in, the main matter of consideration for formation of the districts, divisions or mandals is,

i. Area, population, demand under the land revenue and other revenues in respect of areas affected by the proposals:ii. Historical association, Geographical Contiguity, Physical features, common interests and problems, Cultural and Educational requirements, Infrastructural facilities and economic progress of the areas.iii. Administrative convenience and better administration andiv. Interest of economy

Further under Rule 4 of the Said District Formation Rules, The preliminary notification referred to in Sub-Rule (3) or (4) of rule 3 inviting objections or suggestions thereon shall be in Form I and shall be published in the Telangana Gazette and District Gazettes of the district or districts affected by the proposal and shall also be displayed at the village chavidi, offices of Gram panchayat, Panchayat Samiti and on the notice boards of the Offices of the Revenue Division Officer/Sub-Collector/ Assistant Collector, Collectorate and ZillaParishads.

Under Rule 4 (2) of the rules, any person affected by the proposal may within (thirty days) from the date of publication of the notification referred to in sub-rule (1) above communicate the objections or suggestions thereto to the Secretary to the Government in Revenue Department or to the Commissioner of Land Revenue / Chief Commissioner of Land Administration, as the case may be, through the Collector of the district concerned, who shall forward the same with his remarks to the Government or the Commissioner Land Revenue/ Chief Commissioner Land Administration as the case may be.

Hence in orders to facilitate all the Districts to record all the objections this portal (http://newdistrictsformation.telangana.gov.in/FirstPage.do ) is developed which will enable the CCLA & Government to take Final Decision based on the remarks submitted by Respective District Collectors.

Reorganisation of districts and division or mandals
The reorganisation of districts and division or mandals would be based on area, population, demand under the land revenue and other revenues, historical association, geographical contiguity, physical features, common interests and problems, cultural and educational requirements and infrastructural facilities and economic progress of the areas. A new website new districts formation.gov.in was also created to elicit views from people on the formation of new districts within a month.

People would be given 30 days time to give their suggestions or lodge objections on the draft proposals either with the district Collectors or Chief Commissioner of Land Administration, he said, adding that districts were being reorganised for administrative ease, convenience, betterment and development of people. The final decision on new districts won’t be against people’s wishes.

The people could come to an understanding as to where their area would be, after reorganisation of mandals, revenue divisions and districts. He assured that proposals in the draft notification would not be final and they could undergo changes.
