The Andhra University has been issued the Hall Ticket of AP State Eligibility Test (SET) 2020.  Hall Tickets / Admit Card  available from official website https://apset.net.in. The AP State Eligibility Test(APSET) notification has been released by AU. AP SET 2020 for recruitment as Assistant Professors or Lecturer in various University / Degree Colleges/ Institutions of Higher Education in Andhra Pradesh. SET is mandatory for lectureship in colleges and universities in the state. Those who have qualified in the National Eligibility Test(NET) conducted by UGC need not take it. Both government and private institutions consider the SET score while recruiting faculty.  Andhra Pradesh State Eligibility Test (APSET-2020) for the Year 2020 will be conducted by Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, in accordance with G.O.Ms.No.47 Higher Education (CE) Dept  dated:  02-12-2015  for  recruitment  and  promotions  of  Lectures/Assistant  Professors  in Degree Colleges as per the University Grant Commission Regulations for the year 2020.  The University is inviting the online applications from eligible candidates to appear for The Andhra Pradesh State Eligibility Test 2020. No upper age limit for APSET 2020. A candidate can avail any number of chances. The Andhra University invited online applications from the eligible candidates in April month as per APSET schedule 2020  to appear for AP State Eligibility Test 2020. APSET 2020 Examination will be conducted on 06-12-2020 by the Andhra University.

Andhra University, AP Set (State Eligibility Test) will be held across the state applicants have applied for the test to qualify for the for recruitment as Assistant Professors / Lecturers in various University / Degree Colleges / Institutions of Higher Education in Andhra Pradesh state.. The test will be conducted in 8 major cities of AP in 30 subjects. There are two papers in APSet. The first paper will be from 9.30 am to 10.30 am, the second paper will be from 10.30 to 12.30 hrs . The hall tickets will be downloaded from before one week of exam date .

PAPER – I : General Paper  100  Marks
PAPER – II (the syllabus for paper – II in APSET 2020 is merged syllabus of paper II & III of earlier Year 2017

  1. Paper-I  shall be of general nature, intended to assess the teaching/research aptitude of the candidate. It will primarily be designed to test reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness of the candidate. Paper-I shall consist of 50 objective type questions. Each question will carry 2 marks.
  2. Paper-II shall consist of 100 objective type questions based on the subject selected by the candidate. Each question will carry 2 marks.
  3. The candidate will have to mark the responses for questions of Paper – I and Paper – II on the Optical Mark Reader (OMR) Sheet provided along with the test booklet
  4. There is no negative marking.

Medium of Question Paper

  1. The question paper – I which is common for all candidates appearing APSET will be bilingual (English and Telugu).
  2. Paper – II  for the following subjects a) Commerce b) Economics c) Education d) History e) Political Science f) Public Administration and g) Sociology will be bilingual (English and Telugu). All the remaining papers are in English only except Hindi, Sanskrit, Telugu and Urdu.
