National Talent Search Examination-2016

The National Talent Search Examination: 
For the students studying abroad in Class X is meant to identify and nurture-talent  However, the students studying abroad are exempted  for State Level  Stage-I of  NTS examinations as per schedule.

Scholarships: 
About-One thousansd scholarships are awarded for different stages of education as follows:

(a)  Scholarship of Rs.1250/- per month (or Class-XI 10 XII.
(b)  Scholarship of Rs.2000-per month (or Undergraduates and PostGraduates.
(c)  Amount of Scholarship for Ph.D. be fixed in accordance with the UGC norms.

Reservation: 
15% for Students belonging  to the SC category.
7.5% for Students belonging  to the ST category  and
 3% for Physically Challenged group of Students.


Qualifying   Marks:
 Qualifying marks for candidate General  category is 40% in each paper and  for candidates from SC,
ST, PH is 35% in each-paper.

Language Test:
Qualifying in nature and marks obtained for Language Test will not be counted for final merit.

Last Date for submission of application form for National Level Stage-II Examination 1st February 2016(Monday)
Stage-II  National Level  Examination 8th May 2016(Sunday)



Examination:  
The pattern of stage II Examination will be as under:

At Stage-ll (National Level) there will be negative marking in each paper for each wrong answer l/3rd marks will be deducted. No marks will be deducted for un attempted questions.
Indian Students Studying Abroad  in Class X can appear directly for Stage II NTS Examination  under conditions prescribed in the NTS brochure which is available on the NCERT website. Candidates may fill up the Application Form, available on the NCERT website and send to the undersigned along with a phtocopy of  the mark sheet of previous examination, last Date by February 1st, 2016
