Order :

1. In the G.O. 1st  read above, Government  have introduced  the scheme  of “Ambedkar  Overseas  Vidya  Nidhi” -Financial  assistance  for  S.C.  students  for pursuing   higher   studies   in  Foreign   Universities.  Among   other   conditions, Government have stipulated that for admission in PG and Ph.D. courses, minimum marks of 60% at Graduate and PG Level were prescribed.

2. Subsequently,  in the G.O. 2nd  read above,

 Government have reduced the minimum percentage of marks for admissions of PG Courses in Medicine from 60% to 55% pass percentage.

3. In  the  reference  3rd   read  above,  the  Director  of  Social  Welfare,  A.P., Hyderabad  has submitted  proposal  and requested  that   SC students  under  the scheme of Ambedkar Overseas Vidya Nidhi, shall be selected without observing minimum percentage  of marks of qualifying examination and SC students to be selected,   as  per  the  order   of  merit   (percentage   of  marks   of  qualifying examination), till the target of (300) students, per year, is achieved, i.e., (150) seats in Fall Season and the remaining (150) seats in Spring Season, subject to fulfillment of other conditions stipulated under the scheme, vide references 1st and 2nd read above.   Left over vacancies of the previous season will be considered/filled for next season, in the same financial year.

4. In the circumstances reported in the reference 3rd read above, Government, after careful examination of the proposal and in relaxation of the orders issued vide reference 2nd read above, hereby order that SC students under the scheme of Ambedkar  Overseas  Vidya  Nidhi,  shall  be selected  without  observing  minimum percentage  of marks  of qualifying  examination  and as per  the  order  of merit (percentage of marks in qualifying examination), till the target of (300) students, per year, is achieved, i.e., (150) seats in Fall Season and the remaining (150) seats in Spring Season, subject to fulfillment of other conditions stipulated under the scheme  vide  references  1st   and  2nd   read  above.    Left  over  vacancies  of  the previous season shall be considered/filled for next season, in the same financial year.

5. The above orders will come into force with immediate effect.

6. The Director  of Social  Welfare,  AP, Hyderabad  shall  take further  action accordingly.
