RESERVE BANK OF INDIA RECRUITMENT FOR THE POST OF ASSISTANT
The Reserve Bank of India invites applications from eligible candidates for 926 posts of “Assistant” - 2019 in various offices of the Bank. Selection for the post will be through a country-wide competitive examination in two phases i.e. Preliminary and Main examination followed by a Language Proficiency Test (LPT). Please note that Corrigendum, if any, issued on the above advertisement, will be published only on the Bank’s websitewww.rbi.org.in.


The full text of the advertisement is available on the Banks’ website www.rbi.org.in and is also being published in the Employment News / Rojgar Samachar. Applications will be accepted only Online through the Bank’s website www.rbi.org.in. No other mode for submission of application is available.

Latest Update: Reserve Bank of India has extended the last date to apply for RBI Assistant 2020 recruitment. The extended last date to apply for the post is till January 20, 2020. Candidates who missed the opportunity to apply can now do it through the official site

Educational Qualifications (as on 01.12.2019):
i) At least a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks (pass class for SC/ST/PWD candidates)
in the aggregate and the knowledge of word processing on PC.
ii) A candidate belonging to Ex-servicemen category (except dependents of ex-servicemen) should either be a graduate from a recognized University or should have passed the matriculation or its equivalent examination of the Armed Forces and rendered at least 15 years of defence service.
iii) Candidates applying for post in a particular recruiting office should be proficient in the language (i.e. know to read, write, speak and understand the language) of the state/ any of the states falling under the recruiting office.

Age Limit
Candidate’s age limit should be 20 to 28 years.

Application Procedure

  1. Candidates may go to the RBI website www.rbi.org.in and click on the option "Recruitment for the post of Assistant" which will open a new screen.
  2. To register application, choose the tab "Click here for New Registration" and enter Name, Contact details and Email-id. A Provisional Registration Number and Password will be generated by the system and displayed on the screen. Candidate should note down the Provisional Registration Number and Password. An Email & SMS indicating the Provisional Registration number and Password will also be sent.
  3. In case the candidate is unable to complete the application form in one go, he / she can save the data already entered by choosing "SAVE AND NEXT" tab. Prior to submission of the online application candidates are advised to use the "SAVE AND NEXT" facility to verify the details in the online application form and modify the same if required. Visually Impaired candidates should fill the application form carefully and verify/ get the details verified to ensure that the same are correct prior to final submission.
  4. Candidates are advised to carefully fill and verify the details filled in the online application themselves as no change will be possible/ entertained after clicking the FINAL SUBMIT BUTTON.
  5. The Name of the candidate or his /her Father/ Husband etc. should be spelt correctly in the application as it appears in the Certificates/ Mark sheets/Identity proof. Any change/alteration found may disqualify the candidature.
  6. Validate your details and Save your application by clicking the 'Validate your details' and 'Save & Next' button.
  7. Candidates can proceed to upload Photo & Signature as per the specifications given in the Guidelines for Scanning and Upload of Photograph and Signature.
  8. Candidates can proceed to fill other details of the Application Form.
  9. Click on the Preview Tab to preview and verify the entire application form before FINAL SUBMIT.
  10. Modify details, if required, and click on 'FINAL SUBMIT' ONLY after verifying and ensuring that the photograph, signature uploaded and other details filled by you are correct.
  11. Click on 'Payment' Tab and proceed for payment.
  12. Click on 'Submit' button. 
Application Fee
Rs.450 for Gen/ OBC/ EWS candidates and Rs.50 for SC/ ST/ PWD/ EXSM candidates.

Mode of Payment
Payment shouold be paid by through Online Mode only.

Selection Procedure RBI Assistant 2020 Selection for the posts will be done through ONLINE examinations in Phase - I and Phase - II followed by  Language Proficiency Test (LPT). Exam Pattern

How to prepare for RBI Assistant Posts?
Those who are already preparing for bank exams they can attend the RBI exam with that preparation. Allotted time for each department. Therefore, special attention should be given to Reasoning and Numerical Ability. The prior practice is essential to answering most of the questions in the current period. It is advisable to write at least 15 to 20 mock tests.

English, Reasoning and Numerical Ability, these three are in both the Preliminary and the main exam, so a single preparation is sufficient. General Awareness and Computer Knowledge sections can be considered after a preliminary examination. Although numerical ability questions are simple, more time is needed to answer them. Therefore, questions that are likely to be answered in a short period of time should be given first priority. The rest of us should think about the time. The grip on additions, subtractions, division and multiples. If you specialize in digits and miniaturization, you can get more marks. There are negative marks so it is better to leave out the unknown questions.

In order to delve deeper into these mains, you should focus on General Knowledge, Current Issues and Computers. Those who practice as many sample questions as possible can pass the prelims exam. In order to achieve mains, you need to study these topics in-depth and focus on general knowledge, current concepts and computers.
