The Schedule of Badi Bata has been released by DSE Telangana.

The attention of all the DEOs & EO-DPOs, SS in the State is invited to the subject read above. They are informed that Special enrollment drive in the name of “Prof.Jayashankar Badi Bata” is scheduled to be taken up in all the Schools in the State from 03.06.2023 to 17.06.2023 to enroll all the school age children in Schools.
The objectives of the Programme are as follows:
- Identification of all the school age children in all the habitations and enroll them in the nearest schools.
- Increasing the enrollment in Government Schools and to provide quality education.
- Strengthening of Government Schools with the support of community participation (community support) Identification of 5 years old children from the nearby Anganwadi Centers and join them in the Government Schools.
- Updating Village Education Register (VER).
- Enrolling children who have completed 5th class in Upper Primary School / High School and enrollment of children who have completed 7th/ 8th class in High School (Plan to ensure 100% transition of children.)
- Identifying schools with low enrollment and prepare a special plan to increase number of students with parental involvement.
- To identify out of school children and enroll them in the relevant class according to their age.
They are further informed that the programme has to be taken up as mentioned below and the detailed guidelines for conduct of these activities is enclosed as Annexure.
- Conduct of preparatory activities at District, Mandal and at School Level by 01.06.2023 as per annexurefor preparation of action plan, making necessary arrangements etc.
- Enrollment drive from 03.06.2023 to 09.06.2023 in all the Villages/Habitations.
- Conduct of day wise activities at School Level from 12.06.2023 to 17.06.2023.
In this context, they are informed that the HMs of Schools are permitted to meet the expenditure towards preparation of banner and pamphlets at School Level for Badi Bata Programmefrom the School Grant of respective Schools.Further, 3 top Districts and 10 top Schools in the State which implement the programme successfully and more number of children are enrolled under Badi Bata in the respective Districts / Schools will be felicitated by Government.
Therefore, they are requested to issue necessary instructions to field functionaries in the District to conduct the programme as per schedule duly following guidelines and take all necessary measures for successful conduct of the Programme.

Objectives of the Programme:
(1) Identification of all the school age children in all the habitations and enroll them in the nearest schools.
(2) Increasing the enrollment in Government Schools and to provide quality education.
(3) Strengthening of Government Schools with the support of communityparticipation (community support)
(4) Identification of school age children from the nearby Anganwadi Centers and join them in the Government Schools.
(5) Updating Village Education Register (VER).
(6) Enrolling children who have completed 5th class in Upper Primary School / High School and enrollment of children who have completed 7th/ eclass in High School (Plan to ensure 100% transition of children.)
(7) Identifying schools with low enrollment and prepare a special plan to increase number of students with parental involvement.
(8) Preparing a plan to identify out of school children and enroll them in the relevant class according to their age.
(9) Preparing a plan emphasizing the importance of girls’ education so that all the girls are enrolled in the school.
Enrolment Drive from 03.06.2023 to 09.06.2023 (daily from 07.00 AM to 11.00 AM)
The following activities shall be taken up in the morning from 7.00 AM to 1.1.00 AM on each day in all the schools from 03.06.2023 to 09.06.2023.
a. Door to Door campaign shall be conducted dailyby Headmasters, Teachers and School Management Committee.Rallis, Banners, Posters, distributing pamphlets etc. are to be planned to reach the community well.
b. To create awareness and motivate the parents / community for admission of children in Government Schools by explaining parents / community on facilities provided by State Government under Mana Ooru Mana Badi, introduction of English Medium in Schools, FLN etc.
c. To enroll the eligible children of Anganwadi Centres into nearby Primary Schools in Class-I in coordination with officials of Women Development & Child WelfareDepartment at District/Mandal/Village level.
d. Identify school age and out of school children, long absentees with the help of women Self Help Groups (SHGs) and to design an action plan to enroll these children into Government Schools.
e. Prepare an appropriate action plan to identify the children with special needs (CwSN) and enroll them in Schools / Bhavitha Centres.
f. Prepare an appropriate action to identify Out of School Children and enroll . them in schools.
g. Identification of child labour and to enroll them in Government Schools.
h. Informing nearby UP/ HS Head Masters regarding transition children.
i. To ensure participation of public representatives and parents.
j. Updating the Village Education Register (VER). k. Readiness Programmes shall be conducted to children to create interest towards school and education.

Awareness on introduction of English Medium in Schools · Conduct of activities as mentioned above at (B) of guidelines · English Medium has been introduced in Schools during 2022-23 by State Government. · The parents and community are to be well informed about introduction of English medium in schools for the holistic development of students. · Explain the details of Bilingual Text Books to be provided by the State Government for the convenience of students in English Medium · Inform the details of English Medium Training programs conducted by State Government to strengthen the teachers. |

Girl Education & Career Guidance · Conduct of activities as mentioned above at (B) of guidelines, as applicable. · Class X and Class XII passed out students are to be invited along with their parents and they have to be properly oriented with experts in the relevant field on future career opportunities. Parents are to be motivated for continuation of higher education of their children. · The staff of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya shall interact with parents and students regarding facilities provided in KGBV Schools for the girls. · The girls who studied in Government Schools and settled in the profession, obtained a good rank in EAMCET and also in sports / other activities shall be felicitated. · Special facilities provided for girls’ education in schools should be explained (Self-defense programme, life skills, Stipend for girls with special needs etc. · Menstrual Hygiene, Girl child rights and their protection Acts are to be discussed with girl students. · Women officers are to be invited to give messages on importance of girls’ education. |
Daily Reporting:
a. A Badi Bata desk shall be duly set up at the District, Mandal and School levels and appoint an in-charge to report on a daily basis the list of newly admitted children to the Badi Bata desk at the State Level. An officer shall be appointed at the District Level to register details of Badi Bata online.
b. A special Badi. Bata desk shall be set up for KGBVs and URS at the District Level to inform the details of the students enrolled in Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas and Urban Residential Schools.
c. Name wise particulars of children who are newly admitted, children enrolled from Anganwadi Centers and children who enrolled from private schools are to be uploaded in the given portal every day during Badi Bata programme by the HMs of respective schools and respective MEOs. DEOs have to monitor the data entry and report on daily basis to the State Project Office.
